A website is often treated as the place where a company explains what it does. For us, that was no longer enough.
In October 2026, Alterno entered a new stage of its digital evolution with two complementary launches: a completely redesigned AlternoAgency.com, built to represent what a modern advertising and digital marketing agency can be, and the new AlternoGroup.com, created to bring Alterno's expanding portfolio of digital and technology businesses together for the first time under one corporate identity.
The two websites serve very different purposes, but they emerge from the same idea. If technology, artificial intelligence, data, development and digital experiences are now fundamental parts of our work, our own digital presence should demonstrate that rather than simply describe it.
Alterno Agency has been building websites, digital campaigns and online experiences since the company was founded in Puerto Rico in 2009. During that period, websites evolved from relatively static corporate presentations into increasingly complex systems connected to search, advertising platforms, analytics, CRM systems, e-commerce, APIs, automation and now artificial intelligence. Our own website had to evolve with that reality.
The new AlternoAgency.com was therefore approached less as a redesign and more as a digital product.
We set out to build an agency website that would stand apart from the conventional portfolio-and-contact structure that continues to define much of the industry. The objective was not simply to create something visually different. We wanted the website itself to demonstrate the capabilities we increasingly discuss with clients.
The result combines editorial content, advertising work, interactive experiences, artificial intelligence, data, tools and web technology inside a single platform.
Alterno Agency's current website includes Tina, its AI-powered virtual assistant; a digital knowledge platform with more than 600 terms covering advertising, marketing, technology and artificial intelligence; an interactive digital marketing audit; an expanded portfolio of real projects; editorial content; responsive experiences; dark mode; structured information for search engines and AI systems; and a technology architecture built around performance, security, measurement and continuous optimization.
The new AlternoAgency.com was therefore approached less as a redesign and more as a digital product.
That collection of features matters because it represents a larger change in how we understand websites.
A company website is no longer an isolated communications piece. It can function as the center of a digital ecosystem. Search can bring someone to it. Advertising can direct traffic toward it. Content can build authority. A CRM can receive information from it. APIs can connect it with other systems. Analytics can help explain behavior. Artificial intelligence can make information easier to access. Automation can determine what happens after a user completes an action.
Alterno Agency's published philosophy describes the website as one of the few digital assets a company can truly control and as the point where search, social media, advertising, content, CRM, e-commerce, data, APIs, automation and AI can connect. The new website was built to reflect that philosophy in practice.
The launch of AlternoGroup.com answers a different question.
As Alterno began developing software and technology products of its own, the agency website could no longer be expected to explain everything the organization was becoming.
Alterno Agency remains the advertising and digital marketing business. But the broader organization now includes VOXES in AI voice technology, QR Code + Pages in dynamic QR experiences, MemberSync in association management software and UniqList in AI-powered productivity. Alterno Group was created as the corporate layer connecting those businesses while allowing each to maintain its own identity, market and product experience.
AlternoGroup.com introduces that ecosystem through a deliberately simpler corporate interface.
The website describes Alterno Group as a Puerto Rico-based digital company creating and operating businesses across advertising, software, artificial intelligence and digital technology. Its purpose is not to replace the individual websites of its portfolio companies. It provides the context that connects them.
Visitors can explore the businesses, the verticals in which they operate, the technologies shared across the Group, the stories behind the products, investor information, company news and editorial analysis. The architecture was designed to remain relatively simple at the surface while supporting a much deeper network of individual pages for search, AI discovery and future corporate growth.
They are different websites for two different stages of the same story.
That philosophy is summarized internally as “Minimal interface. Maximum depth.”
The relationship between the two new websites also represents the evolution of Alterno itself.
Alterno Agency began by building digital experiences for other organizations. Years of solving those problems produced capabilities in design, development, media, data, automation and technology. Those capabilities are now contributing to the creation of products and businesses owned by Alterno Group. The Group website makes that transition visible for the first time.
We still believe strongly in social media, advertising platforms and the many external technologies that shape digital business. But those platforms can change their algorithms, rules, formats or priorities at any moment.
A website remains different.
It is where a company can establish its own structure, tell its own story, organize its own information and build connections to the systems around it.
That is why we continue investing heavily in ours.
AlternoAgency.com demonstrates what we believe a digital agency website can become.
AlternoGroup.com explains what we are building next.
They are different websites for two different stages of the same story.
And both are designed with the expectation that they will continue changing.
